I then went back into Apple Image Capture and I am now receiving the same error message "The scanner is being used by a remote user (-9926) I tried to scan with HP Easy Scan and received the same remote user message. I turned my printer/scanner off and restarted. I then went into HP Easy Scan and received a message that the scanner is being used by a remote user.
